
Powering the new Hyundai Santro is a 1.1-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine which produces 69PS of max power and 99Nm of peak torque. It can be had with either a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT. Hyundai claims that the new Santro returns a certified fuel efficiency of 20.3kmpl for both, manual and AMT variants.
A driver airbag, along with ABS and EBD are standard across the range. Only the top-spec Asta variant gets an additional passenger airbag. There are a few segment-first features on the Santro too such as the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with MirrorLink.
